Feeding machines, emptying machines or transporting within automated sheet metal storage systems – ergonomical sheet metal handling means a significant time savings.

Wether sheet metal handling for manufacturers looking to make a successful product or just distributors or traders interested in warehousing – the subject of „optimised sheet metal handling“ is almost always at the top of the to-do list. This includes a whole array of requirements that must be fulfilled in the handling of sheet metals:

  1. Short transfer times from storage to the machine (and back if required)
  2. Careful and sparing sheet metal handling – especially with thin or unstable flat goods
  3. Precisely timed synchronisation of sheet metal handling with the processing cycles of the production machines.
  4. Reliability and safety of the sheet metal handling
  5. Ergonomical and user-friendly operation

STOPA-SML: The intelligent load elevator for sheet metal handling:

With the new pneumatic STOPA Sheet Metal Loader, sheet metal handling is possible with an especially powerful yet light crane – a crane weight of 180kg with a working load of 3000kg. A wide variety of materials and sheet metal formats (small, middle and large sized sheet metal packets of up to 3 000 kg working load) can be efficiently transferred and handled on a small area, also representing a space savings in terms of expensive factory or warehouse floor area usually reserved for sheet metal handling operations. Either as a loading system or sheet metal handling system, the STOPA-SML is ideally suited for both feeding processing machines in production lines as well as transhipment in general.

Beyond the many ergonomical, synergetic and economical advantages to automated sheet metal handling, working with the STOPA-SML also greatly reduces stress on the goods themselves. Real damages to the sheet metal packets and coordinate stamps are significantly diminished by much easier sheet metal handling as compared to conventional forklift operations.
